I’m 6'1" and around 200lbs. I think my ass would be dragging, and diesel fintails would be beating me to 70.

I agree, but a big cc bike makes long rides much easier. My dad has a 2008 Goldwing, & he will ride 1000km+ days in comfort. Sure it is a massive bike, but it crushes the highway. He can also toss it around on a twisty road very well. He once ride from where we live north of Barrie to T-Bay in one shot.

You only need 1L+ if you are moving around a ton of stuff that you don’t need while making so much racket that you can’t think.
As always, the answer is either SV650 or Grom. (Yeah, and I ride a Triumph 955. But I may buy a Grom.)

It’s not exactly cross-country touring, but when I had my old DR350, 3-400 mile days bombing around back roads weren’t uncommon. Definitely not on the stock seat, though.

Your statement is literally incorrect. I had the smallest street legal motorcycle and it was much smaller in size and cc’s.

Under 125cc. Licensed as a motorcycle. Street legal in Canada. Not a pit bike or a toy.
